The whole world must stand as one

Let me start with saying thank you to China. Why? Because of China I am able to have protective Equipment for myself and my loved ones. China makes most of the PPE used worldwide. They have also contained the Virus and innovated a lot of procedures that allowed other countries to copy them without reinventing the wheel. Mind you that reinventing the wheel would kill more people. China produces so many things, which the world needs desperately right now. At the same time China needs the rest of the world as their customers as well as their suppliers. So, I for one am glad that China is up and running again.

This is no time for half witted blame. The ones pointing the finger the loudest most likely have the most to hide themselves. Viruses come from many different places and can come from any country. Are we gonna blame Afrika for HIV? Of course not. Anyone who doesn’t understand that the the entire human race is under attack and needs to stand as one is a fool. We can only overcome this buy working together as one.

Within a few months this virus has spread almost all places of the world . Obviously, borders can not stop this virus. For any country to work and prosper in our global economy borders must be open to some extend. Until (if ever) there is a 100percent accurate instant test the virus will never be stopped at any border. Therefore, we must work together. All humans regardless from where they come are now our brothers and sisters in arms.

This does not mean that there are not many cultural or political improvements that many countries can make to minimize the spread off viruses. It is my strong believe that the COVID19 virus is just nature’s warning shot to humanity. A more deadly virus with the same infection rate is gonna come sooner or later. I think currently we are miserably failing the test that Covid19 represents to humanity.

All criticism should constructive. So here is are my positive recommendations:

Open up all societies under strickt yet simple rules:

Where does the threat come from? As far as we know today it comes from other peoples mouthes and noses. If we don’t let the virus get past the mouth and the nose it can not spread. Where does the virus enter our body? Through the eyes, the nose and the mouth. If we cover those entry points properly then the virus can not enter our body. Its is very simple science. The big lie however is that cloth face coverings do the job. They are inadequate.

The second big lie is that enough of the correct PPE is not available and by using correct PPE our healthcare workers will not have enough: LIE. I know for a fact that frontline healthcare workers could be provided with adequate PPE in as much quantity as needed. However, administrations only want a certain type of PPE made specifically for the them. They refuse other equal or superior protection PPE because of bureaucracy and nothing else. Fact is that a REAL KN95 mask (and yes there are many fakes) is just as effective as an N95 mask. the KN95 mask is actually tested to a slightly higher standard than an N95 mask. The hospitals will for the most part not buy them. Therefore the general public can wear them without any ethical concerns.

Wear a surgical style mask of better filtration with a BE95 or higher filter. Do NOT wear a cloth face-covering.

Wear eye protection. Face shield or goggles.

Use hand sanitizer or wash hands BEFORE touching face or BEFORE entering your home.

Properly handle all PPE. Don’t touch the outside facing dirty side of your PPE. Sterilize it with UV light (like direct sunlight or artificial UV light), sanitizer products or other means.

Isolate the most vulnerable. Take special precautions when interacting with the vulnerable members of our society.

Avoid any situation during which the above measures can not be practiced.

Self isolate or seek immediate treatment when you have symptoms.

Clean any potentially infected areas properly and frequently.

These are the basic simple cornerstones of reopening all societies right now. If we do something like this we could go about our “new” normal business as usual again. Yes, there are business that will not make it to the new normal. For those we have to rethink. Not all business will survive and not all businesses need to be artificially kept alive. Anyone miss the pager industry?

But we must to take care of the people most in need of help. Those who are poor or sick or unemployed or otherwise need help beyond their own abilities. Asides from this being the right thing to do, if we don’t help them we will all fail. Remember we are only as strong as the weakest link. Don’t be the weakest link by choice.
