Masks: Everybody must wear a mask. NOT a face covering.
Hands: Everyone must sanitize and or wash their hands before entring a business.
Test: Everyone’ temperature must be taken before exerting a business.
Distance: No gatherings of groups of people. Keep two meters distance from each other.
Isolation: Isolate yourself if you have symptoms
This is not my idea but this the model of the countries that are successfully containing the spread of the virus at a manageable level. Countries like China, Korea, Singapore…. First and foremost the wrong propaganda that the public should not wear professional masks must be stoped. Everyone must wear a mask that is capable of blocking the virus when it exits your mouth or nose. A so-called surgical mask with a PM2.5 filter will do that trick. Cloth coverings will not. The virus will go right through! A N95 (KN95, PPF2…) will give an even higher level of protection. So will an additional transparent visor ( that can be disinfected easily when coming home). Again, everyone wearing a mask will protect everyone else from getting infected. So if everyone wears a mask no-one can infect you through the mouth and nose route during interactions. The USA and Europe has still not understood that. Thereby they failing to minimize the spread of the virus.
Here is what works: Before one enters a business that business should take the customers temperature outside the entrance and refuse people with fever to enter. They should ensure that every customer is wearing a professional mask before entering. They should supply hansanitizer at the door so that every customers enters with sanitized hands. Finally, they should ensure that no-one is closer than 2 meters to each other. Of course periodic sanitation of the entire business as well as cashless transactions will complete these minimum efforts of safety .
If we follow these rules most parts of society can function until there is a treatment or an effective and safe vaccine.
